Noboribetsu, famous for its Hell’s Valley, hosts an annual matsuri featuring various events and the unique Demon Fireworks. Inspired by the legend of the valley’s hell lid opening on these two days, the streets come alive with demon dances and taiko drumming performances. Despite its fiery theme, the event attracts people of all ages, with students even volunteering to take part in the parades.
