• Above rates include up to 3 people, excluding 1 Hour lessons which are one on one. Additional guests are welcome up to a maximum 6.

• Full Day (6 Hour) Private Lessons will take a one hour break for lunch at a time suitable to the guest.

• In order to help us provide the best service for all guests, we recommend that all members of a private group should be of similar ability level, and that parents and children participate in separate lessons.

• Lessons can include only skiers or only snowboarders.

• Above rate includes up to 3 people. Maximum group size is 4

• Pure Powder includes access to Niseko Gondola 15 minutes prior to opening to the public.

• Reservations must be made by 5:00pm the previous day.

Laugh, learn and explore in a group suited to your ability level. Make new friends as our snow school professionals teach and guide your group in this relaxed and fun ski lesson experience. Adult group lessons include lesson and lift ticket for the duration of the lesson.

• Maximum group size is 8 students

• Instructors will help students determine the correct group level prior to lesson beginning.

Private skiing or snowboarding instruction for children ages 5 top 12. Our fully qualified and kid savvy instructors will teach your children safely and proactively to ensure that they grow up with a love for snow and the fun and excitement it can provide. In addition to regular private lessons, we now offer a "one to one" private lesson experience for the very young with the "Under 5's" program. The 1 hour duration keeps these young guests from getting to tired while making sure that they are safe and having fun with their own private instructor.

• Above rate includes up to 3 children per instructor. (Under 5's is one on one)

• Maximum group size is 6

• Full Day and 4 hour lessons may include supervised lunch for additional charge of 3000 yen per child.

• For 4 Hour and AM 2 Hour Lessons, we will be able to take care of your kids from 8:30am to 10:00am at Niseko Kids Centre. This service is available at 2,000 yen.

A safe and exciting lesson experience created especially for our young skiers and riders. Group levels to suit any ability. Group skiing lessons are available for children ages 5 to 12 and group snowboard lessons are available from 7 years and up.

• Maximum group size of 8.
• Full day, 4 hour lessons include supervised lunch with instructor (12:00pm to 1:30pm).
• For 4 Hour and AM 2 Hour Lessons, we will be able to take care of your kids from 8:30am to 10:00am at Niseko Kids Centre. This service is available at 2,000 yen.

The Niseko Kids Daycare is a great way for our young guests, who aren't quite old enough for lessons, to spend the day. Your children will love the indoor and outdoor play areas at the Niseko Kids Center, nutritious snacks, meals, and all the fun and excitement a kid can handle!

• Full Day programs include complimentary lunch at the Niseko Kids Center.

• All lesson and activity prices are in Japanese Yen and include applicable taxes.

• A credit card number must be provided at time of reservation for Niseko Village Snow School (NVSS), Niseko Kids programs, and Winter Activities.

• Final payment can be made by credit card, room charge or in cash at time of registration at Niseko Village.

• Snow School and Niseko Kids "Fifth Day Free" offer is only available when the same guest is booked into the same programme of five days or more at time of initial reservation.

• Cancellations made prior to 48 hours before the lesson or activity start time are subject to a ¥2000 administration fee. This will be charged to the credit card used to secure the booking.

• "No Shows" and cancellations made within 48 hours of a lesson or activity will be charged 100% of the fee. This will be charged to the credit card used to secure the booking.

• As busy periods often create waiting list situations, guests cancelling lessons may not reassign their booked instructors to friends or family.

• Activities and lessons booked through tour agents cannot be refunded directly to a guest.

• Guests who are more than 20 minutes late for a private lesson without contacting the Snow School are considered to be "No Shows" and the instructor(s) may be reassigned without refund.

• Group lessons and group activities will begin at scheduled start time, guests must be on time in order to participate.

• Refunds will be considered only if 1) weather conditions prevent operation of all lifts, 2) mechanical failure prevents operation of all lifts, or 3) injury or illness (doctors note must be provided).

Helpful Reminders for Moms, Dads & Guardians

• Ages and group maximums are defined with safety and group dynamics in mind.

• Ages 6 and under ski for free, however a pass is required to access lifts. Please obtain lift passes at the ticket counter.

• Children over 6 years of age must purchase a lift pass.

• Please enquire whether your child will require a pass prior to leaving them in the care of the instructors.

• Registration the evening prior to the start of the program is highly recommended. If registering for Niseko Kids Snow School the morning of instruction, please allow 30-40 minutes prior to lesson times to pick up tickets and rent the necessary equipment.

• Registration can be done at the Activity Counter at the Niseko Gondola Base between 8:00am and 6:00pm daily.

• Staff are always on hand to look after the children at the Kids Center during operating hours.

What to Bring

• Lunch is included for full day and 4 hour programs. Lunch begins at approx. 12:00pm.

• If your child is vegetarian or a particularly selective eater, please inform our staff as early as possible and we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate their needs.

• In case of severe allergies to certain foods, please consider preparing your own lunch.

• Please bring or rent warm waterproof gloves, goggles or sunglasses with UV protection, a warm hat, jacket, snow pants and a neck warmer. Please label all personal items.

• Helmets are highly recommended for snow school participants and are available for rent at Niseko Village.

To help provide the best experience possible for our guests, groups are determined based on the following descriptions.

Ski

• Group 1 - This is your first time.

• Group 2 - You have skied once or twice before and can balance as you slide.

• Group 3 - You enjoy easy green runs and can change direction at will.

• Group 4 - You like red (or blue) runs and ski parallel most of the time.

• Group 5 - You look for black runs and want to improve in various snow conditions.

Snowboard

• Group 1 - This is your first time.

• Group 2 - You can balance on your board and sideslip on an easy run.

• Group 3 - You turn easily on green runs.

• Group 4 - You enjoy red (or blue) runs and can carve in good snow conditions.

• Group 5 - You challenge the black runs and want to improve in various snow conditions.

The 2010/2011 is Niseko Village Snow School's fourth year of operation. This season we are excited to welcome back to our team many returning staff and to introduce a number of new faces from around Japan and around the world!
