The snow installation by Hirohiko Takenaka has made an appearance at Niseko Village!
Mizuno no Sawa
Mizuno no Sawa is the area of extreme terrain under the Niseko Gondola which is marked as 'Avalanche Control Operation Area.' Niseko Village ski patrol have been working on avalanche control measures in Mizuno no Sawa for many years. In order to increase avalanche awareness and safety, this education program has been introduced. Access to this area is limited and only authorized skiers and snowboarders are permitted to enter Mizuno no Sawa under ski patrol's supervision.
Haru no Taki, the strictly off limits area next to Mizuno no Sawa, is permanently closed and access is not allowed at any time.
If you duck any ropes and access the closed areas, this program has to end.
Please respect all signage and boundary markings and stay out of permanently closed areas.
Thank you for your cooperation.
